I did the same thing.
I also love the bit in the DLC where you've got the villain cornered, and while he's bragging and threatening you, you can just keep shooting him without saying anything until he starts being like "WHAT DO YOU WANT? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?"
Still haven't play the DLC.
But I felt pretty awesome when I persuaded Saren to kill himself.
